Welcome to HyperLog 2.01! If you are a new user to HyperLog I hope you will
take the time to read the manual all the way through at least once to become
familiar with all the different functions available within the program. If
you have been using HyperLog and are familiar with it, you probably just want
to look over the installation section as SETUP has new options for Packet and
other functions, also look at the sections titled PACKET, Database Browser,
and Report Browser. Registered users of previous versions of HyperLog should
call us at 800-274-0890 to obtain their new serial number free of charge to
unlock all the new features. See the manual for details on registration.
HyperLog 2.0 has many new features that have been requested from users all
over the world. If you suggested a feature and it isn't included in 2.0,
wait a bit as there is more comming soon!
IMPORTANT!!!
None of the files from versions below 2.0 are compatible with version 2.01 so
MAKE SURE you DO NOT extract the files from this version in the same directory
where you have old version files. The only file from a previous version that
can be used is HYPERLOG.PBF. It can be converted once the product is
registered.
FOR VERSION 2.0 USERS ONLY!
If you are currently using version 2.0, you can copy the 2.01 files over
the 2.0 ones; however, please see the note below about the country and assign
files. Please make sure you delete your old CONFIG.REC file before running
the new SETUP. There have been numerous additions to SETUP in 2.01 and the
old file is no longer compatible. You might want to run the old 2.0 version
of SETUP and print out your old settings before you replace your files with
version 2.01. Also, after starting 2.01, and if upgrading from 2.0, make
sure you rebuild your database by pressing ALT I, and, when that finishes,
rebuild your QSL database by pressing ALT U and selecting #5.
If you have been using version 2.0 and have added any new countries DO NOT
use the 2.01 COUNTRY.PBF and ASSIGN.PBF files. If you do, you will overwrite
the country changes you have made and you will have to re-enter those changes.
